# Terms of Service
**Weekie - Family Activity Planner**

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Weekie app. By using Weekie, you agree to these terms.
## 1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Weekie application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
If you are using the App on behalf of a minor or family, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.
## 2. Description of Service
Weekie is a family activity planning application that provides:
- Weekly activity scheduling and tracking for families
- Meal planning and organization
- A rewards and star system for children
- Activity feedback and completion tracking
- iCloud synchronization across your devices
- Optional Google Calendar integration (Premium)
- Parent dashboard and analytics (Premium)
## 3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the App, you may create an account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
You may delete your account at any time from within the App's Settings.
## 4. Subscriptions and Payments
### 4.1 Free Features
Weekie provides core features at no cost, including basic activity tracking, the rewards system, iCloud calendar sync, and support for up to 5 family members.
### 4.2 Premium Subscription
Weekie offers optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional features including the Parent Dashboard, Feedback Analytics, Google Calendar integration, push notifications, unlimited family members, and priority support.
Premium subscriptions are available as:
- Monthly subscription — billed every month
- Yearly subscription — billed once per year
### 4.3 Billing
- All payments are processed through the Apple App Store
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
### 4.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policies. We do not process payments or refunds directly.
## 5. User Content and Data
You retain full ownership of all content you create in the App, including activities, meal plans, family member information, and rewards. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.
Your data is stored locally on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your data. For full details, please review our [Privacy Policy](PRIVACY_POLICY.md).
**Important:** You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. While we provide iCloud sync and backup features, we cannot guarantee against data loss.
## 6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the App
- Use the App to transmit malware or harmful code
- Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App
## 7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, icons, sounds, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Weekie and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial family use in accordance with these Terms.
## 8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services that have their own terms:
- **Apple Services:** Sign in with Apple, iCloud, CloudKit, and App Store are subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
- **Google Services:** Google Sign-In and Google Calendar API are subject to Google's Terms of Service.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Your use of these services is at your own discretion and risk.
## 9. Children and Families
Weekie is designed as a family tool intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or legal guardian. By using the App:
- You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or are using the App under parental supervision
- If you allow a child to use the App, you accept responsibility for their use
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the content entered about family members
- The parent passcode feature is provided as a convenience; it is not a security guarantee
## 10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Data will never be lost (maintain your own backups)
- The App will meet all of your requirements
- iCloud synchronization will always be available or accurate
The App is an organizational tool and is not a substitute for professional childcare, educational, or medical advice.
## 11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Weekie and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or its subscriptions in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
## 12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. You can also delete your account from within Settings.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms. In the event of termination, the sections regarding Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law shall survive.
## 13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the App.
## 14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through the appropriate legal channels.
